Br. Carlos in his Presidential address reminded friars about the significance and spirit behind the provincial chapter in accordance with our constitution. He said that brothers discuss everything in the Chapter under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The brothers of the first chapters of our Order gathered and verified their life. They spent time in prayer. The tradition of the Capuchins can’t be lost. The Main goal of is to be Prayer. Listen to God what he says asking for his mercy. We try to understand his will and listen to the brothers. Allowing the others words to reach the heart. So the main goal is not simply election, not politics and not making one’s own desires to be fulfilled. This is not the place to make politics b ut a home of brotherhood/ fraternity. So I wish to repeat this idea that we are a brothers to serve one another in fraternity. I do wish from the bottom of my heart god’s blessings to all during this chapter and declare open the chapter with the blessing of the Holy Trinity. He also reminded the bothers of the consequences of being absent from any of the sessions of the chapter. Then, he declared the chapter open invoking the name of the Trinity.
