Marymatha Capuchin Province
Marymatha is a Capuchin Province of Roman Catholic religious Order of Friars Minor Capuchins. We are consecrated to God according to the Evangelical Counsels of Poverty, Chastity and Obedience.We live and work for the Crucified Christ after the example of our founder St.Francis of Assisi. Mother Mary is our patroness.
The Capuchin Franciscans have been serving the people of Andhra Pradesh from 1968 and the people of Orissa from 1992 Marymatha Region was Provincial Delegate from 1968-1974. It was Custody from 1974-1997. It was raised to the status of Vice Province on 30 January 1997. It was raised to the status of Province on 13 June 2008.
